Mayo Agard-Olubo

Mayo is a writer of magical stories for children of all ages. His short story We Must Slay Giants was featured on the BBC sounds podcast, Margins to Mainstream with Michael Sheen. His writing has won a number of awards including a London Writers Award and the 2023 Mo Siewcharran picture book prize. When not writing he can be found enjoying all things fantasy, sci-fi and anime.
At Ministry of Stories he runs the Saturday creative writing labs where he helps young writers explore their limitless imaginations and is constantly thrilled by the brilliant stories they come up with.
